Our Mission: "Kidz connection's" mission is to supplement the family in reaching kids and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. We Believe: "Kidz connection" at First Church of the Nazarene exists to equip and encourage parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children. We hope to partner with parents in teaching children how to follow Christ through mentoring relationships with other Christians. We desire that children learn to accept Jesus Christ as their savior, invest in service to others and draw near to God through worship. We strongly believe in the values presented in Deuteronomy 6 which direct parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of the family. As directed in Deuteronomy 6:7, parents are to take the commands (and values and teachings of Christ) and "Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." We desire: ...to equip parents to be the spiritual leaders of their family ...to reach children with the love of Jesus Christ at an early age ...to teach children about Jesus and the life He gave for our salvation ...to help build a Biblical Worldview Our Ministries: Sunday School 9:30 am - 10:30 am Exciting classes designed to teach children about the love of Christ by using colorful curriculum, age appropriate visual aids and learning activities. Each child will learn basic age appropriate biblical truths as they study the Bible. There are classes designed for all age/grade levels.
"kidz connection" Worship 10:45 am Designed with children in mind. The "kidz connection" worship service incorporates a variety of worship and teaching styles. We use everything from puppets to object lessons to teach about God's love. Children learn in small and large groups and have a variety of opportunities to interact with the lesson. Each week is a new and unique worship and learning experience for the kids. For kids in 1st - 4th grade. Pre-k Connection 10:45 am Pre-k Connection is a time of worship designed for children 4 and 5 years old. Children are taught using a variety of worship and teaching styles. Each week is designed to be a new and unique experience.
Quizzing Our quizzing team this year is studying the book of Exodus (the year runs from September to April). Check out the Quizzing website to learn about the memory verses and to start working on learning the material! Equipping Parents First Church of the Nazarene believes God has called parents to be the number one spiritual leaders in their kids’ lives; the church is a resource and a support. We believe Children’s Ministry becomes most effective when the church becomes a great resource and enables parents to become their kids’ spiritual heroes.
